Well, I was feeling pleased about getting some really good door plugs from Vetteman Jack that had all the pins so they would stay in and then I saw yours!
Had the great pleasure of changing out my AC compressor and a few other parts a couple weekends ago. It was kind of a pain but now that it's over I think I'd probably do it again. It's working great again so I won't need to check the freon it it before I drive it anymore. This video isn't really a DIY but more a "Ya, I can do this job myself" kind of video. I don't have the means or the knowledge to vacuum the system down to install the new freon so I had to farm that part out. Maybe next time I might try that part myself too with a little help from a mechanic friend of mine.
I did, also got it done before it got to hot in the garage to work in. I didn't want to go through another summer topping off the freon whenever I got it out. I'm glad it's done and over.
Hi mstromquist, your car is unique & awesome.
I have a question regarding your DRL's, I saw your youtube vid on it. You went with a light smoked DRL lenses with amber switchback, with lights on, what color did you go with in your parking lights? amber or white?
Out of all the lenses I saw out these, yours caught my interest. My Vette is black with chrome wheels
Thank you very much for the compliments, very much appreciated. The parking lights in the DRL's are white while lights are on (with or without headlights on) and the turn signals turn amber when the turn signal is activated. So they are always white while the lights are on unless the turn signal is on and amber for the DRL's. Hope I answered your question.
Is this the video you were referring to? I checked and the bulbs I used aren't available anymore. I'll have to do some digging and see if I can find them again.

Thank you and I am running the C5 Z06 size wheels and tires. They fit and look great. Not so sure you'll be able to find to many of the tires in those sizes any more as they are not being made by to many companies from what I've been hearing.
Yes, they are the 17 x 9.5 front and 18 x 10.5 rear. Sometimes I wish I lived farther north. I miss the 4 seasons sometimes, but I really don't mind since I have to work outside.
Thanks for the offer. I've driven my car back to Nebraska a couple times and have a small itch to do it again. There's a car show every September that I haven't been to since 2010. If I decide to drive it back for that show again I'll let you know. I also have family that live in Topeka so I could visit them also. It's a pretty long drive so I seem to talk myself out of it when the time comes. We'll see what happens this year with it.

Yes, you answered my question. I ordered everything yesterday and was able to find the bulbs you used here on Ebay https://www.ebay.com/p/2x-3157-High-...lbs/2177974284
I do have a question though, what is the max bulb length size for the DRL? I have read where some bulbs are too tall and dont fit. The ones I ordered are about 2 1/4 inches tall.
