Default Clear coat?

My 98 looks good. No body damage, chips, etc. But I want it to have that "mile deep" look to the paint.

So, can I just have a couple coats of clear put on it? Should I ask to have it rubbed out between coats?

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Here's a pic:

You should probably take a look at autogeek.net, painting more clear on it isnt going to give that look, its properly maintaining it. You most likely need a full compound/polish then some sort of sealant or wax and that will give you that look. From there it is maintaining that look and if done right you shouldn't ever have to repolish or compound.

Zaino, zaino, zaino. Love the deep, deep, dig in look the zaino products do for me. Not to time consuming, considering I love making my car look awesome. Unbelievable shine and depth. My brother owns a body shop and I asked him the same thing and the same answer came out, it wont look that much better than a good detailing. Wax on,wax off. Lots of great detailing tips on this rock solid site. Merry Christmas.

I actually wet sanded my Black 02. 1500 then 2000 sand paper. Then polished with my Porter Cable 7424xp. Just stay away from the edges.

Thanks for the compliments guys. You guys can do this, it's pretty easy, if you do one fender at a time at your leisure it's not to intimidating.
