For me its perfect.
I have had it higher before and it did not look right at all (to my eyes).
Everyone has an eye for what they like the most though.
Thats why there is so much diversity of mods we see here daily on the Forum.
It sure would be a boring site if everyone's car looked the same.

Just my experience, but lowering it the max on stock bolts was a big improvement in looks and overall handling. It just felt tighter and rode better to me.
Lowering on the longer C6 bolts was a mistake even for my garage queen situation. The ride was incredibly horrible. It was like driving a car with no suspension at all.
I have since gone to a full coil over setup which gave me the great ride quality back, and enabled me to have it lowered for the look that I prefer.
No, it wouldn't. Corvettes are not meant to look like a 4x4.
Mine is lowered all the way on stock bolts, and it is a daily driver. I have no issues with it at all other than having to navigate speed bumps. It handles better and looks a whole lot nicer riding low.

Oh... one thing to note.
Its commonly known that C5 suspensions were set HIGH from the factory so they were easier to get onto the delivery trucks ramps.
The dealers were "supposed" to lower the C5's upon delivery to the dealerships. Many dealerships did NOT lower the C5's before they sold them.
You can see how high my Z06 was when it was new in the above pic.
Mine was not lowered at the dealership like it should have been.
Here is a good example....
This is the official GM Z06 Overkill poster to advertise the Z06 when they first came out.
You can see that MY car above is a LOT higher than the Z06 in this official GM poster.
The poster is more like my car was sitting at full lowering with stock bolts.
I don't think my car is really "designed" to be as low as mine is NOW though.
I just like it like that.
Stock Corvettes are pretty low. Comparing them to a 4X4 is ridiculous.
The use of the term 4x4 is more of a tounge and cheek thing around here. Also some of us aren't talking about how low the actual car is, we are talking about the gap between the wheels and the wheel arches which is akin to a jeep wrangler.
From Toque's post
Of course many other owners are perfectly happy with the stock ride height, and that is fine as well.
