Question: did GM ever make an FRC in 1999 or any C5 Generation with an automatic. To the best of my knowledge the answer is no but a FRC I am looking at for sale says it is an auto but does not provide interior pics? Anyone out there know the answer?

The Coupes or Convertibles all came with A4s standard and the MM6 was optional.
On the Hardtops (what you are referring to as "FRC"), 1999 was the first year and the ONLY available transmission was the MM6. A4s were not an available option.
There's either a misprint/typo or something in this ad you are speaking of, or someone is lying. It's likely the former, as I have seen mistakes of this type on various dealer ads over the years, especially used-car dealers.
It also could be a coupe to FRC conversion. But it seems I have heard of an FRC being converted to an A4. Can't recall where I read that, most likely here.
The ad could also be a scam so be on the lookout for that.
