I was thinking about buying a set of these sunvisor covers that are being sold on ebay but wanted to get some feedback from anyone who's purchased them already. They are entitled "RED STITCHING CORVETTE C5 1997-2004 2X SUN VISORS LEATHER COVERS ONLY" on the Ebay auction. The cost is around $60 a pair plus shipping.
One of my reasons for thinking about buying them is that maybe they will help reduce the "floppy dog ear" phenomena that my stock visors are suffering from now.
If anyone was purchased this item I would appreciate any positive or negative feedback on them before I decide to buy them or not
I bought a set for my convertible. It was a cheaper alternative than buying new visors. Also, I added the homelink to my driver's side visor. Good value and they fit very good.
If your OEM visors are in good shape you can have the fabric removed and covered professionally with leather. That will fix the floppy ear problem as well.
Mine were covered by Vette Essentials when I upgraded the rest of my interior. It costs more, however I'm happy with the results.

As MSG C5 said, Vette Essentials does offer sunvisors in leather. You will get a top quality leather covering and great customer service. Sure they are not cheap, but you won't be disappointed.
To see several more pictures of the bulbs, and the steps I used to refurbish my visors, you can go to this link below.

sorry it was my first attempt to add a link on this forum, I need some help with getting that to work right. If there's any interest, I'll do a quick thread with step by step instructions and put the pictures in order of start to finish.
For now, I took out the link to my photobucket pics.

Same concept as the ones sold by Red Line except the Red Lines are more expensive, you have to cut the opening for the mirror, but they look and fit better.
I had some eBay bucks I had to spend so I bought a set of the leather covers to cover my floppy ears. I thought they fit a little too "Baggie" so I cut a visor shaped cardboard insert to tighten the fit somewhat.
UnskiFIN says: do not buy from eBay's " j-f-customs " from United Kingdom
Hi all!
What ever you do: DO NOT BUY FROM " j-f-customs " in eBay!!!
I paid and received wrong items (mirror opening in the wrong place), I complained even to eBay but never received the correct items (sun visor covers). I even posted the wrong items back to them with photos --> no respense!!!
Do not buy from " j-f-customs " in United Kingdom in eBay !!! See my other message !!

they look like ill-fitting POS. I would definitely prefer the floppy ears to those.
I bought a set of these off Ebay they did not fit well looked very sloppy. So I sent them back. I bought replacement sun visors from corvette mods and they seem to be made quite a bit better than originals. I believe they are about 99.00 - 109.00 a visor. They don't seem like i will have floppy ears in the future.
Had a set made in leather by custom vette creations, Adrian, the quality and workmanship is superb. The visors are tight and matched stitching just fantastic work. Major interior improvement
Great workmanship
