Hello all. I am looking at an 04 vert that has been converted to a Z06. It has a LS6 and all the cosmetics of a Z06 including seats and wheels. I am wondering if the stock running gear of the vert will hold up to the power of the LS6. Has anybody heard of a LS6 being put in a regular C5 before. Thank you beforehand on any replys.

It will be absolutely fine. The ~360rwhp LS6 will not be enough power to overtax any part of the factory C5 vert. However, I would make absolutely certain that the car has a genuine LS6 under the hood before paying a penny extra for it.
I hate fakes too; there's no way I'd rebadge anything as the high-performance variant
Also, this thread is irrelevant; the car the OP refers to was determined to be an actual Z06 that was converted after being issued a salvage title, subsequent to a wreck
