Key question
Besides obtaining a key blank with the correct (1-15) value code and having it cut, is there any procedure you have to go through for the key to work or is it just a matter of inserting it into the ignition and starting the car? Thanks

If the key you are using now works then the system is fine. I wanted a spare key to hide under the car in case I lost mine. I measured the resistance, ordered the correct key off Ebay and had it cut locally. Worked perfect. As long as the system on your car is ok, that's all you need to do.

I've done this twice because my car came with 1 key and it was worn to the point that the security light would sometimes come on and it caused me grief in thinking I had some major security/electrical problems.

Keep in mind the key has one side that is a bit different, Make sure you point that out to the place cutting it. 17.99 on eBay.
