Time to change plugs and wires, I am going with the a/c delco iridium plugs but not sure on the wires. Any suggestions? It's a stock Vertt with cold air intake.

I'm the only dissenter. I am running the red GMPP wires with the shields. Yes they work but in my opinion they are some of the cheapest looking and feeling wires. They're made in mexico.

So are approximately 75% of the parts on your car.

Take a look at the electrical components on your C5. Or you can go to almost any FLAPS and replace all the Mexico manufactured relays on your car from the factory with OH NO!!! brand new relays made in Mexico!
I use the Taylor 10.4 mm wires (98003) on my car but there is a case to be made for the Red GMPP wires as well due to the price.
Ditto
The GM wires that were OE on my car were the cheapest and lousiest wires I've ever seen on any car. As they literally disintegrated while being removed after only eight years and 19K miles, it became obvious that in some things GM takes the term "lowest bidder" to ridiculous depths.
These Red GMPP wires may only be related by familial heritage, but I'd just rather not take any chances.

Most spark plug wires will fall apart after eight years. Mileage isn't an accurate measurement. Wires should be replaced at least every five years.

Thank you. But, that point in time just happened to be the moment when I bought the car. And, yes, I've been changing spark plug wires for more years than I even care to remember. Often on cars of friends that were far beyond wire and spark plug change ideal timelines.
That having been said, I've never encountered such cheap lousy wires as the C5 OEM wires. Period. Junk would be a kind descriptor. Are these Red GMPP wires likely much better? Yes. Would I still go there on any of our cars? No.
Just as you decided to lecture on the obvious responsibilities of engine related car care, I was also taught a few things in my racing youth, one of which was, "Never go cheap on plugs, wires, or filters." Penny-wise, pound foolish.
Stock Delco Irridium plugs with GMPP Red wires with stock heat boots and cant be happier. My tuner also had no problem getting a tach signal with thoes wires.
