However, if you search the battery threads, many 2001-2003 C5's guys are using group 78 batteries instead of group 75. The 78's batteries fit in the C5's and provide more reserve
Here is the information I got off Interstate batteries web site. the number for the battery is the "Group Size", sizes are universal between manufaturs.. Ex: 78=Group 78, 75=Group 75
Battery Sizes and option Per Interstate Battery Site: Most likely can be mixed between the years.. size looks to be about the same, some have more CCA then others and they do have a AGM. The Number is the "Battery Group" (Size). My guess is that you can swap in a larger batter with little to no work. I would Recommend a good AGM battery, they dont leak acid if they crack or fail like a normal battery. I like interstate myself but there are others that are good. From what i remember i think you can put a Group 78 in place of a 75 amd vice versa.
