My Mod Thread. CAUTION: Mod Bender Inside

Turns out the flat bed driver is a car guy too. We talked about his 64 Chevelle 496 stroker build and my work on the Vette all the way down

My tuner got the computer connected and a base tune installed pretty quickly. He took it for a few laps around the block to dial it in before putting it on the dyno.

And here it is. I won't lie and say I'm not a little disappointed; however, the tuner said the SC is moving a ton of air and we saw sparks coming out the exhaust which indicates the cats are the obstruction. He recommended headers and catless straight pipes. Make sense given the engine is an air pump and while I'm stuffing a lot more in, I've gotta fix it so more can come out.
Anyway, this is probably ~140hp and 100lb/ft over stock. It drives exactly like the chart shows. It starts coming on pretty strong around 2500-3000rpm and just continues getting stronger all the way to redline. 60-90mph on the Interstate is ridiculous in 2nd or 3rd gear. I floored it in second gear after turning a corner and the traction control just screamed for mercy. While a little lower than what I hoped for, this isn't bad for a mod that didn't require me to break a seal on the block. Headers are definitely next.
7lbs of boost, 10 degrees of timing. Red is the second pull, Blue is the third/final. 91 octane, no meth, ~98 degrees outside, SAE corrected.

Still, 450hp/422tq at the wheels is nothing to sneeze at. It's a totally different car. I just know there's more to get out of that blower.

Ya, when I realized just how stretched the top coupler was due to the fact the IC wasn't flat against the sheet metal, I called and spoke with Jesse @ A&A. He said the same thing--heat cycles would relax the fit some.
What revision head unit do you have?
Enjoy the new power and keep us posted ok

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
McLeod RXT - Sticking with stock flywheel (resurface). Check that, decided to go with McLeod Billet Steel Flywheel. Adding remote bleeder, new slave/pilot bearing.

Thought I'd hunt down a pic of the headers

3.48" Pulley is on the way too.

Still hunting cam/head/spring combos.

Call and talk to Stephen at Englandgreen, great guy that will be happy to give you some sound advice on everything you mentioned, you might end up saving some money on a few things as well, I'm still running stock heads with my cam set up, I almost changed them as well, but after talking to Stephen I changed my mind.
Anyway just thought I'd share that with ya,

I might could massage a few more ponies out her, but for what I use my car for I'm cool. 650 is a lot of fun
