Stealth made the mount. He didn't like the current retail options for fear of scuffing his carbon bezel. This one fits between the dash pad and bezel. He added the Scosche mount and sent me a prototype. Not sure if he's planning on selling these or not. It's really hot out today, so I'm waiting until tonight to put it in.

Kooks headers/x-pipe, McLeod RXT clutch, and 3.48" pulley are in. The headers sound great and really wake up the GHL Bullets at high revs--holy crap! I went to the dyno shop today, but they were closed by the time I got there. Will try to get another run scheduled soon (maybe Saturday) along with another drive-by video.

The clutch feels solid too although I need to put some miles on it before I test its resolve on hard launches.

Still need to install my phone mount from Stealth too.

I'm at a stopping point right now. Think it's time to work out top end game plan.

Thank you. She's definitely a different experience from the day she came home.

I got the phone mount installed tonight. Thanks a ton Stealth, the mount worked perfect. I've had the console on and off so many times, it took me < 30 minutes start to finish. It fit just right and securely holds my phone in a very useful position. Thanks again for the hook-up.

Sorry about the crappy pics, it was dark out when I took them.

Without the phone.

The Scosche mount pops on and off the mounting plate really easy if a change is required for some reason. This is a universal mount though, so it'll hold just about anything--with or without a case.

Charging cable works fine too, just runs from center console to the bottom of the phone.

How exciting! I'm curious to see how much easier it breathes now and bet it will gain power across the board.

Still not quite what I expected for peak numbers, but still some good gains. Prior to the headers, I had a drop off in power and torque right about 5200rpm. That drop off is gone with the headers. The power/torque curves keep climbing. Right at 5k it looks like a 20hp gain and a 24lb/ft gain.

This is where it gets interesting. From 5200-6000 I see more power and torque. After the 5200rpm dip, I see +38hp and +43lb/ft. So it looks like more consistent power and torque from about 4200rpm through redline.

I was surprised the peak numbers aren't higher, but it was 110 today and it went on the dyno after a 45 minute highway ride and we did three consecutive runs. Looks like I top out @ 460hp/440tq with the headers. Previous peak numbers were 450/420.

PS Boost gauge showed about 8psi, but honestly, I was paying attention to the tach and not the boost gauge at the end of the run, so it could have been a little higher. I may go out tonight and find a quiet back road somewhere to get a better idea of where peak boost is.

Went out to see what happened with boost: It just bumped 10psi @ redline.

How does it feel? Are you satisfied yet?

Also, keep in mind that it's hot as hell here still (I don't know about up by you, but it's been over a hundred here for weeks with lows in the high 80s)... I bet you're around 500rwhp once we finally start seeing 70° again

It feels violent fast after 4k RPM like the car lost 1000lbs of weight. There are solid gains under the curve before peak, so I know it's breathing better. I just think it starts pulling timing up top and well, you know the rest with heat/gas.

I also took a look at the AFR from the runfile and it's pretty stable around (edit) 11.8 at 4k+ so I think that's about right. On one run, it peaked at 12.6, but other than idle and that one peak, it probably averages out to about (edit) 11.8.

Not satisfied yet Looking at springs/cam now.

Got my plan worked out with Joe and Nic today. Cam, springs, pushrods, trunion upgrade kit, C5R timing chain and 3.33" pulley order going in tomorrow. Adding 2 bar MAP sensor and Nic is converting to SD tune after the install.

Hoping the cam lets Nic bump that timing and of course the pulley down should be worth a little more peak power. More to come...

Your definitely heading in the right direction , I did what you did, but in a different order, cam, springs ect first then blower, I really think the heat is killing you, I would look hard at adding meth, it's awesome at keeping things cool (especially where you live) and really helps keeps things safe, I know what your thinking,(when does it stop) I was just like you, but I think your fixing to get where your satisfied,I've been done with mine for going on 2 years (of hard driving I might add) and I'm completely satisfied where I am, I see no reason to chase after more power when it's all I can do to control what I have now, I also think that when Fall gets here your going to see a huge difference with the cooler air.

Are you sure you want to go SD, none of by business, just talk to a few people to further educate yourself,
I would call and talk to Stephen (I know I told you that way back)

If nothing else than peace of mind, I was thinking just like you, after thinking and talking more about it I found out for me there were better options.

Good luck

I'm not trying to deter your thinking just trying to be helpfull.

Can you elaborate a little? Tuner thinks I'll be flowing too much air for the MAF. Are there other MAF options?

I know the cooler weather will bring on the numbers.

I'm always open to an exchange of ideas, so feel free to keep tossing ideas out there.

I know there are numerous people that swear by the SD tune, and I'll be honest I'm not a tuner, I can say this though, I was lucky enough to get hooked up with an extremely amazing and honest tuner/owner that treated my car like it was his own, we discussed all options and after looking at facts based on cars he had tuned, and considering the climate I'm in, I feel like the best option for my car was not the SD tune, if I was you I'd drop a dime in the phone and call EG he's an awesome person that is always willing to share his honest and educated opinion,
He definitely can tell you things I can't.
I just think it's worth the time when your going all out like you have, I respect your ability and can see your very talented (it shows )
Just trying to help educate you based on my experience, you might find out that the SD is best for you, but it's definitely worth investigating prior to jumping in.

Edit: I'm making pretty good power without the SD tune as are many others
