I have a hard time believing anyone having a problem with a Monster clutch unless it was install related. And no matter whose clutch you buy, measure for the slave.

I've never installed a clutch before... what do you mean, measure for the slave?
There is a vid on youtube that shows better than this redneck can put into words, but its basically measuring for a shim to load the slave and get the correct disengagement. Im sure if Monster sees this they can word it better

Thanks! I'll be hitting you up with my shopping list soon... my transmission build has been delayed at the vendor due to a sudden influx of orders at the same time as mine (likely tax season isn't helping my timing) so I haven't been in a hurry to work around my weird schedule to contact you guys

I'm glad to hear that... so far I'm pretty impressed and I haven't even called yet
The new LT1-S is currently on sale for 125 off with free shipping making it $975 to your door for the standard weight billet flywheel which is what I'd recommend. That set-up weighs in at 53.5lbs which is roughly the same as stock though the weight is closer to the center of rotation making the MOI less actually. There is a lightweight option for the guys more interested in road racing and wanting faster/easier rev matching. For daily driving and drag racing you want to store more energy in the flywheel to help the car take off easier with less slippage which ultimately would wear a clutch faster. Hope that helps, feel free to call me for a faster response.
You bet my trans just arrived in the mail, so hopefully things go smoothly and the clutch isn't too far behind; I'm getting a bit restless since my car has been down for so long
I know when I get ready to upgrade my clutch im deffintly going with a monster stage 2 or 3 because ill be in the 550-600rwhp...ive done tons of research and alot of folks on ls1tech are happy with their monster clutchs plus the sales reps are very cool and helpful even when I told them I wont be ready to order untill a frw more months they still treated me as if I was about to place the order right then and there. .some vendors will ignore you when they figure out that you're not buying thier product right then and their.
