I think alot more than a "few" people like the C6 lol. That first sentence perfectly describes C5's and their pop up headlights more than anything. Nobody likes pop up headlights anymore, thats a thing that went out of style in the 80s that Chevy somehow waited until mid 2000s to get rid of. The only people that like them are guys who like the nostalgic factor from the past. You cant talk about C6 interior being plain when you own a C5.

Where do you get your survey results for "NOBODY " likes pop up headlights anymore ? You don't like them so now nobody likes them ? Tell the Original Sting Ray owners with their 100k. plus Corvettes that they don't like their pop up headlights. See what your survey tells you.

I just picked up a 99 vert with < 22K on the clock. But mine has an lsx454 and lots of supporting mods. The point is you can get a great deal ona c5 and put a monster motor in it and have a car more capable than anything made today save for super high end exotics. I love my c5, and had a c6 zo6 before, yet I'm very happy with my c5

I am happy with my C5 and I drive it daily. Not a garage queen. The one area I would like to know more about is if the C6 electrical system such as the door/window relays, ignition switch etc. are more reliable. I do all of my own repairs on the electrical system problems but it does seem more than it should be IMO. So what say you C6 owners?

I like corvettes alot. But I must say I think the C3 is the ugliest corvette ever made. Im sure ill get hate for saying that but its my opnion, and it wont change. To me the best looking corvettes are the C5, C2, C6. but to the OP go drive both and see what you like more. everyone has a diffrent opnion at the end of the day yours is the only one that matters.

I'm on the Mustang forum as well, and I don't see half the trash talking about one Mustang versus the other that I see here on the Corvette generations.
The only time I see it is if someone is being a complete ***. They don't even trash talk the V-6's.
I personally prefer the C5 Hardtop look. But I also love the C6 Grand Sport, Z06, ZR-1 C6. Base versus Base, to me the C6 is not close to a C5. But that's a personal choice, it's not gospel.
