Paint Defect Correction - Experimentation
I've been wanting to step up to a legit polisher for a while and completely correct the Z, plus the wifes car could use a good amount of attention for a car that's only a few years old.
Thanks for the write up.

There's a big difference between correction and covering. Some waxes/oils have fillers that will mask the appearance of defects, but when those products begin to wash/wipe away, the defects re-appear. I'm not interested in covering them up. I wanted them gone.
I didn't buy a Flex DA, but I found a great video on youtube showing the differences between older DAs like the Porter Cable and the Flex. Basically, the clutch in the Flex is either nonexistent or much harder to slip which keeps the pad rotating even on corners/bumps. Traditional DAs don't do that, they'll stop rotating to prevent damage.
I also have to make sure and give the nod to Choreo because I really used his process substituting a rotary where he used a DA. I'm positive M105 and M205 would have been equally effective on a rotary because I saw results with M105 on a DA--just took too long.
