I just wanted to lets you folks know that the Corvette vendors are a group who by and large are a good guys. I posted here about a week or ten days ago about the ill fated Corvette tax. And I wasn't going to put up with it. So a week goes by and I get a call from Ecklers Today.
A man names Ed Sullivan and he said he'd seen my post about being upset by the high shipping fees for a very flat and cheap item. So he said If I wanted, he'd ship it to me free of cost and he'd cut the price down to wholesale price. I was surprised, but that was being more than fair. So I bought my part and it's being shipped free.
I think it's only fair to show the bad apples, and when the good raises to the moment, to be pointed out because we should recognize to good guys when they deserve it. Ecklers are aces in my book and I'll give them my future business.

Good PR move by Ecklers. It is how much S&H is on some of the relatively low cost items for the car. I've always had good luck with Ecklers so no complaints about them from me.
That's great to hear, because I bag on Ecklers quite a bit for their high prices. Wait a minute! How long have you worked for them? Just kidding...........Maybe.
Probably not but he needs to make a living...but its a good show of faith to the corvette community and now for future projects ill keep that name ecklers in my head....

He said it was a contract with FedEx, and that at times to even it out, some shipments got shipped a way over the cost, so I said I'd post this and if anyone wanted to, they should contact Ed and ask why the hell things cost $X the normal rate. We only have power if we're united. If it costs too much, politely say "Thank you & Goodbye"
I have always called or PMd the vendors before I order so they know I am a CF member up front. Usually helps down the road....I have one or two in my phone as well as in my email address book

I'd like to know what he's talking about. I worked in logistics for a couple of decades+ and worked closely with FedEx during much of that time. I've never seen any offering by them that would overcharge to that extent. Rates are based on weight, box dimensions, distance, shipment type (air, ground, etc.), and fuel surcharge. What a company charges its customers for shipping usually has very little to do with the carrier.

I just paid Corvette Garage over $18.00 to ship an exhaust plate and shorty antenna ground to California.
I did contact the vendor prior to placing my order.
Follow up: Nate at Corvette Garage sent me a refund for half of the shipping cost. Excellent vendor!
