Soo my co worker bumped into me today while my car was parked....
Im not very happy about it, but she offered to pay the fix. When i bought the car, he said the car was painted recently. So, is it normal if the old paint was beneath the new paint? Or are they supposed to sand and buff or whatever. Heres a pic:
Look at the fender right at the corner theres a chip in the paint.
Is she good looking? Just joking. New paint must be applied to a sanded clean surface and primed. Looking at pic it could just need a buffing to restore. Best to bring it by a body shop and they will tell you what must be done to repair paint. Good luck.
It all depends on the price the previous owner paid for it. The more labor intensive, the higher the price. If the body was good and the same color was used, it may have just been scuffed and painted. It may have been sanded down, bodywork done and then painted. It just depends on the prep that was done.
