Skip Shift Eliminator

I have a C5 want to get a skip shift eliminator to get rid of the 1 to 4 shift, are they all the same or is one product better than the other? Any recommendation of which product to buy would be appreciated.

It's just a 220ohm resistor in a weather pac plug.

PS OP, Thanks for asking the question. It never occurred to me to ask and I never thought about disabling the light too.
