please don't do it next thing you know you will be asking what color socks others wear with sandles...Might as well order louvers on the taillights and call it a day.
After seeing many over-stuffed chrome and scratched up stainless steel engine bays at Corvette shows over the years, I decided to go with a "less is more" approach and only added some small chrome accents to help break up the sea of black.

I don't understand the fascination with chroming, painting, and polishing
an engine compartment.. If you want to throw money at your vehicle why not spend it on performance not on BLING....JMHO

Or, here's an idea.....why not do both? Form and function go well together.

That's why I don't have an chrome caps. Still like them.
Most people here think the car has plenty of performance and just want it to look prettier.
Chrome also get points at car shows.

Thanks. To me it's not an "either/or" decision - chrome caps or go fast mods. It's just something I liked, sort of like painting my FRCs red instead of grey to match the car. Just wanting something unique. They don't add performance, but they do help complete the look for me.
Same thing with my interior. Although I like a nice "go fast" mod as much as the next guy, I get to enjoy my custom interior every time I drive the car. Whether I'm alone on some back road twisties enjoying the performance dynamics that were engineered into the car, or whether I'm stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic going 10MPH. Either way I enjoy it so it was money well spent.

People forget that adding additional layers of stuff under the hood also capture more heat. If you're going to use it in such a way that heat will be an issue (autocross, track, drags etc.) just be sure that you can take it off easily when you want performance over bling...

Yep. With the exception of the hood strut covers which are a PITA to remove, I take most of the stuff off in between shows if I'm planning to work on the engine or have service performed or if I have any performance runs. The battery cover is only used for shows because no one wins points with an ugly AC Delco battery.
When I purchased my catch can, I had the choice of black or chrome, so I chose the bling.

I must admit, I really like that approach. Where did you get the fuel rail and battery covers?
