I used it in the US. I've had the occasional gas gauge problem since I got back to England. When my Techron ran out I used a local equivalent and it worked.
I have use it in the corvette since I have owned it. last year my wifes car a chrysler pacifica 2004. developed the gas gauge problem, took it to the dealer and the said that the fule gauge is bad. so thanks to this forum I added the techron, and two tanks full latter the gauge worked and no problem since. the repair bill would have been over 900$, but just for a few bucks problem solved.
I have used it on nearly every tank on my 2001 weekend car since I bought it in 2006. I recently used Seafoam for the first time and I had NO smoke. No carbon deposits in the intake.

The problem is, it costs 2 cents a gallon for Chevron to add it to their gas, but they charge us 7 bucks to treat 12 gallons. There are no Chevron or Texaco stations around here so we are getting hosed.

On sale at costco 12 dollars for 6 16 oz bottles. Also good for D.I. motors.
you have a c5 and have never had issues with the gas gauge?
you realize it's a matter of when, not if
My 04 has no issues, but after reading this I'll probably run a bottle through once a year just in case. I did buy a case of it last year online for cheap for use in another car. IIRC it worked out to like $4 a bottle.

Is the gas sending unit on corvette's different than the million other units that GM use's on their other vehicles
I have no idea what it actually does, but I can tell you from personal experience that it's the ONLY thing I found that would keep a BMW I used to have from pinging and loosing power during the summer months when the octane in gas is changed. I used the highest octane gas I could get and the car pinged without it, but with Techron it ran great.
Also, I had a six cylinder Mustang (flame suit on!) that ran low on oil one time and ran like crap afterwards. I changed the oil and filter afterwards, and put a can of Techron in it. After I drove it for a while, and the harder I drove it, the better it ran. I can't say for sure it was the Techron in this case, but it sure seemed to have helped.
But regardless of all that, I only run a can of it occasionally unless I have another reason too. My cars run fine without it.
