Default Help me decide a mod

My budget is getting smaller, so I have to choose wisely. Just ordered a ECS blower kit, blower cam kit, radiator, waterpump, oil pressure sending unit and now I'm about at the end of my budget. I need new radiator hoses and debating if I should go with a silicone set $300+ or just the OEM and keep the remaining money for a LS6 intake. Would love your opinions!

Easy...ls6 intake. You just dumped all that cash on a blower and cam so she needs to breathe. Even if I had 300 I wouldn't spend it on bright colored hoses.

My car is not the most pretty lol. So, there are no other added performance benefits of the silicone?

Silicone will last longer, and if I'm not mistaken has a higher heat tolerance and a higher heat dissipation rate. This might be good for a degree or two of lower coolant temperature.

I agree with the intake, but there's nothing wrong with a little bling. If I weren't already planning on going with steel-braided hoses I'd gladly go with the blue silicone.

What about LTH, a tranny, beef up the driveline, tranny brace.
Expect powertrain failures if you stay OEM>
Good luck.

Bling would just look out of place on my car, I'm going for the "Rat Vette" look It just worked out that way!

OK, intake it is. Thanks for pushing me over the edge guys!

I'm prepared to park it for a year if tranny goes. Looking to put one in next season or over the winter. I do have Z06 diff and tranny cooler already in place. Already have LTH.

I totally agree I have the steel braided but it's to match all my other SB lines/hoses. That's something you do when you have all your performance stuff taken care off. IMO

Go with the intake, but do make sure your current hoses are in good shape.

went down that road, bought a LS6 manifold good for a year than went out and bought a fast 92, avoid the middle step and go with the fast 92 or 102 and be done with it
