Is there an easier way to program the window valet. I just want the windows to be control by the Fob.

Thanks In Advance,

I just plugged mine in and hit the fob three times unlock to open and then three times lock to close. Works every time for my vert.

Has anyone here done the programming that is described in the instructions? I am puzzled by the instructions that speak of entering numbers into the DIC. How does that work? I don't see a numbered keypad on my instrument panel.

Hmmm, I went through the installation instructions. It looks like I wasted my time, all I ever wanted was to control the windows. Swapped it over when I sold the '97 to buy the '03. I wonder if it will work on a C6 if I upgrade. I wouldn't have one without it, even a coupe.

There are a lot of features to be gleaned from the Valet.

The faked out speedo is useful, can't explain right now.

Then there is the highest speed reminder, again, a story later.

Then the retained power is cool.

But my fav is the ability to roll up and down, partial or fully.

Great addition to the C5 for certain.

The buttons on my 2000 DIC are numbered, the options button i.e. is #4. I did the basic program but the windows worked fine without the program.

Word of advice, When you lock the car make sure the windows don't go back down, You might have to program the closed position in the valet. A lot will go up and then right back down due to not having it set up.

Well that has to be the easiest mod since door edge guards. The instruction that said "no tools required" should have been a clue. And yes, my buttons have numbers on them, I just never noticed . . . .
