Below is a pic of under battery tray. Doesn't look bad
If you're going to keep the car.
Some day remove that tray and clean out the rust and prime the frame.

Below is a pic of under battery tray. Doesn't look bad
Suggest if you did not do so that you remove the plastic battery tray and then closely inspect the area underneath for acid leak damage. Paying particular attention to the top of the PCM, the electrical wiring bundles , and the HVAC vacuum line tubing. If acid damage is present , neutralize to halt further damage.

C5 battery placement over key wiring and vacuum lines was a poor design. I use only Optima Batteries because of this issue.

Get the biggest (most CCA) you can find. The big Die Hard has 850. Other brands as well, I imagine. Do not try to save a few bucks here. C5 is notoriously hard on batteries.
