C5 vs C7 interior room

I also thought we have more room on our C5's, although I just sat in a C7.
Deffinitely felt like more headroom in our C5's, might be from matted down 10 year old seats. but the top of my head (not bald yet, but thinning) brushed the headliner of the C7, 6'4" here.
I was mpressed with the interior and layout....just didn't feel like a vette to me tho

I think part of it is visual, part is actual
1. The top of the door is higher on a C7 that a C5.
2. The dash seems higher. Subjective, in that I'm OK with a GPS in the top left corner on the C5, not so with the C7.
3. The big disk in the C7 to which the rear view mirror is attached takes up another chunk of the visual range compared to the C5.
4 The deeper cuts and sharp angles when looking out the windshield of the C7, as well as
the change from wraparound glass in the back, add to a closed in feeling.
5. C7 seats fit you better (taller bolsters make them look narrower and perhaps deeper.
6. C7 center tunnel looks a little taller, but I don't think it is, in that my right arm is
about the same angle in both cars.
