[Z06] Tire size question

On my stock rims should nitto NT555R 305/35r18 and the same tire in 275/40r17's for the front fit properly? I'm going up a size in the front as well. What kind of difference do I need to expect from 265 to 275 if any?

Those sizes will fit your OEM wheels just fine. Can't say as to "what you can expect".

don't use large tires, use better compounds. too many physical drawbacks to large casings. flex in the sidewall on smaller wheels and weight
a sticky 245 45 17 will rail an average 315 35 17 all day long. size is most useful to keep operating temps down on the track as you have more volume but it does not directly translate to traction
