I don't agree with conversions like this but to each their own I guess. Not sure why people push to make their car look like the newer generation corvette. What are your thoughts on this car?

All that money sunk into all of those custom body parts and paint, and the guy leaves the BSM's on the car?

I don't like it. The front bumper looks horrible, the lights just as bad, and the hood isn't much better. You'd think the guy would have figured out how to mount the front license plate too.

The problem is he didn't use a C6 Z06 style front bumper. Notice the middle section on a std C6 bumper looks more creased *sharper*
The Z bumper has a more rounded off look due to the deeper intake opening, which is to say it flows better with the C5 design theme

I might be wrong but I think the C5.5 front bumper is as C6Z as it gets for someone wanting that look.

I just called it a C5.5 Z06 because it's in between a C5 and a C6.

The pics that I saved years ago I didn't label. This one looks a little different BUT one of these is the C5.5...
This one looks a little better imo but I still wouldn't do it.

It doesn't look nearly as bad as others I've seen. I just don't like the hood.

Pretty well done.

I don't like the hood or the body side moldings, but otherwise a pretty clean car. I like the wide rear fenders and wheels too.

I would never invest that much money into the car and then the body work though. It would have been less expensive to just buy a C6 Z.

I have certainly seen worse - looks like the mods for OK. Not a look I would go for, but it's also not my car.

Although we can all question the "investment" of mods, these type of hybrid generational mods have me questioning why not just buy a C6Z?

I guess this could be considered a Corvette mullet - "C6 business in the front and C5 party in the back!"

I think those headlights look 100x better than anything else for the C5, but that hood looks like the Corvette Summer car.

I think the quality of the work done looks great. (fit, finish, paint etc...)

I'm just not a fan of trying to make a C5 look like a C6.
