Default My First C5

What's going on guys, my names Ray from Jersey. After owning 3 f-bodies, (96 Z28, 98 Z28, 01 SS) I decided it was time for a C5. I searched online for a while and did something I thought I'd never do. I went to a stealership. Ended up walking out with $7,000 down and a $7000 loan.

1998
Silver
6 Speed
65k miles

It runs fantastic! No piston slap/lifter tick on cold starts, the transmission shifts great. The whole car rides much better than any of my f-bodies, although they'll always hold a special spot in my heart. (I'm 19 and had been saving since I was 16 years old. I never thought for a second that I'd get something as clean as my SS, or this C5.) I'm going to pick it up Wednesday and I'll post some good pictures then. For now, here's a rear shot as I was leaving the stealership at night. Lol.

Here's my SS that I sold a few weeks ago.

If there's a way to make these pictures smaller for easier viewing please PM me.

Thank you every one~ Actually going later today as opposed to Wednesday to pick it up. I'll put up some better shots either tonight or tomorrow when it's light out.

I got my first Corvette 9 days before my 19th birthday and haven't been without one since. This may happen to you as well....

Thank you everyone! I took it out tonight after getting home from work and fell more in love then I did at the dealership. The quality of EVERYTHING surpasses my previous f-bodies like you couldn't imagine. I love everything about it.

Nice machine- Congrats. Make sure to go through and inspect all the fluids, regardless of miles, just by the chance they may be 16 years old. I went through my '01 with 53K and found pretty much everything unchanged except for oil and brake fluid. Rear gear, transmission and power steering fluids are all cheap to do, and good peace of mind.

Take good care of her, and welcome to the family!

Thanks again every one! I suppose the Zaino worked considering I won my very first trophy!! The last time I left this show, I blew the water pump in my 2001 SS. This time, I leave with a trophy for best in show!

Next to a friend's Can Am C3. Beautiful car!

Excuse my crap smile. Lol.
