As a matter of fact after I drop the hammer on it, it kind of clears ups for a good 15 minutes or so....

You can pull the codes yourself through the DIC.

A possibility.

Both times I had a similar problem, it was the throttle body around where the butterfly closes that got gummed up - even more likely if you are running an aftermarket oil-impregnated filter. However, I never got any codes.

Without taking off the TB... I've already cleaned it. Looks like I'll have to take it off and clean the heck out of it !!

And yeah, I have an aftermarket oil-impregnated filter - K&N with my Vararam.
Maybe I should use a different filter as well.

Are you using an aftermarket oiled air cleaner?
Did you try cleaning your existing MAF ?

I have had same problem, low idle speed. Found extremely dirty air filter to be the culprit. Still took half and hour to get to proper idle speed after changing it out. I still think you have issues with your after market air filter.

Throttle body was cleaned, MAF was cleaned and my K&N air filter was cleaned about 5 months ago.

I guess I could take everything apart this evening and check the air filter again......
