I absolutely loved my white 97 vette. I chose it over 3 other colored vettes. Notice I said loved. Someone hit my poor vette and broke the front bumper cover and the drivers side front fender.
No big deal I thought. Just buy already white used parts. .. haha. Yeah good luck. There are no white parts to be found. Every other color under the sun parts are a dime a dozen.
As much as I love a white vette. Never never never again.
There used to be a guy who posted here that had an incredible Arctic White vert. 427. Pfadt suspended, leather interior Kenwood/JL sound, L5 flares, CCW SP500's with 345x30 on the rear. I found some pics of that car.
Great car but I hear the guy was a bit of an asshat.
Promised myself decades ago I'd never own a white vehicle. Then my 60th birthday came along at the same time as Corvette's and when they decided to accent it in blue with pearl silver stripes, then when they graced it with a 427, well, the rest is history.

Two of my eight Corvettes were white including my current 02 vert. Black may be popular but personally I would never own one living in the sunny south. Besides being hot it's a full time job keeping a black car clean
I'm not sure I'd let it go..... I'm 68 and yesterday I was having a recall done on my CTS and her Buick, while waiting we were looking at a new Corvette in the show room. I know she liked it because he loves gray cars. When she saw the sticker at $78K she told me that my retirement check won't cover that, and your car only has 22k in almost 15 years. So it looks like I'll be driving my 2000 for a while longer. But thanks for the offer

I don't think everyone hates white Vette's.
Maybe not everyone's color and I think this is because for years white has always been the basic color that all fleet trucks and cars were painted and some think of it as a basic color.
I don't hate white Vettes its just not my first choice. I found one I liked some years ago but the lady couldn't find the pink slip and didn't really want me test drive it. That's a problem She did not like me for whatever reason. I told her to call me if/when U get a pink slip, it was that nice

The word "hate" is a very strong word and has a negative connotation. I've been around a long time and there are only a few things in this world that I truly hate. Personally, I prefer certain colors over others, but that's just me. Remember . . . beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Thanks! My c5 is silver. Hopefully we can meet next time at Cars and Coffee. I was out of town and didn't go this month.
