Most beautiful Corvette made
One of my favourite angles on a c4. the clamshell hood, the way it curves to the arches, flows into the centre raised whatchamacallit .. so beautiful.

Cleanest lines on any gen imo. Bringing the car up to date with bigger wheels and lowered (although mine is a little extreme) really help bring the curves and lines out on a c4.

And the big bum.. gotta love it.

That is a gorgeous C4. I think C4's get alot of crap because they look so ancient in stock form. I think they look great if you bring them up to modern standards. Those wheels, the drop, the exhaust tips, The tint, Brakes, rotors etc all make it look nice.
Honestly, C5's are starting to go down the same path of the C4. They are starting to look old and outdated in stock form. You have to bring them up to todays "look" for them to look good.

enough to get my C5 in March of '97. It would be 9 months before
I saw another on the road. As great as they are, rarely would strangers interrupt me at convenience stores or gas stations.
When the C7 was "unveiled" in the beginning of last year, I
knew I could never part with my C5....and kissed my '08 Viper goodbye. Talk about a humbling experience: it wasn't until I drove my C7 off the dealer's lot last Fall, that I realized any sense of privacy and solitude I enjoyed in the past....was gone.
I only have 1200 miles on my one year old C7. I know most folks like turning heads...having strangers all of a sudden wanting to be your friend....hot girls just wanting to have sex with you...just
because of the car you drive.... Well, maybe it's because I'm older...
I'd just rather not deal with it.
Even after making my C5 look better, thanks to RK Sports,
C & W, TigerShark, etc,... I've never had strangers treat me like somebody I wasn't.
I'll always love my C5... but comparing it to the C7?

c3 up to 73- I would own, modded right; maybe
c4 after 91- modded right is timeless
c5- modded right is timeless
c6 gs or zo6- only ones I would own, maybe
c7- awesome!
Never been a resto guy, so I would never own any of these in purely stock form. So the most beautiful vette is the own I would be satisfied with; fat chance at that........
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I didn't do anything new to my Z that I already hadn't done to my 93. the base c4 can be beautiful...All very old photos.. way back when I didn't even have a camera and flip phones were still vga
Ill have new quality shots of this car when I get the 8500 rpm Solid roller LT4 stroker back in it !

Several years back my friend wanted to buy a c5 and I told him for the same money He could have a c4 that looked awesome for the same price. I pretty much laid the ground work told him to get the ccw sp500 in my sizes, lowered it, hurst and a b&b and hes been loving it ever since. Its definitely NOT a better car than the c5. I repeatedly told him the c5 would be a much better drivers car. But its sharp nonetheless. Beside my Z when I was bringing it home in stock form last year.
I like low profile tires, but the ultra thin ones just ride too rough for me.
As for C6 and C7, I think dark colors help hide the fugly headlights
and I like window tint on C5,C6,C7, makes em look more streamlined.
As for C4, turn offs for me are the digital dash and the wide door sills that make entry/exit a problem, but other than that, I love em.
C1-C3s don't ride very well, and have a lot of interior noise, IMHO.
But with tasteful mods, I'd take any generation. Still, I love my C5 and don't yet see a reason to switch. It's a classic.
the place. Your car is awesome, though. ...probably one of the
nicest C5's I've seen. You're obviously pretty smart, and you've
made some good decisions. You were the King!
You liked being the King, Rick. You got use to being the
King. But, I know just how you feel. When the C5Z came out,
I was determined to make my C5 better...at a fraction of the cost.
It feels good being the King. Although GM hit a homerun 17
years ago, we need to face the facts: GM hit a freakin'
grandslam just last year!
So, you need to let it go, Rick. Many C5ers are very
happy with their car. ...and some are waiting for the right time
financially. Heck, I know I still love driving my C5...love the
cosmetic changes I made to it.....love the sound and power
upgrade that ECS did. The knowledgable guys on this Forum
make it so easy to keep the C5 running and looking better than
new.
But, if you're obsessed with being the King....make the
phone call, Rick. Don't even bother going through the trauma of
selling your beautiful car.... just sign the title over to one of the
Forum dealers. I know Mike Furman will, not only offer you top
dollar, he'll even tell you what your trade-in value is right over the
phone.
Do it today. Start living the life that you could only
dream about. Good luck.

Not sure if that white coupe is "the most beautiful Corvette made," but if not it does not miss far. Simply beautifully done. Don't mind admitting we have rather shamelessly "borrowed" photos of it as our background image. Didn't think you'd mind...
We trudge on (admiringly).
design
and it felt good when I drove it, I sold her 2 years ago ,And I do Miss her. but my c-5 zo6 is one heck of a car too.
be honest i like all vettes when i see them.
