I think stock c5's are starting to look seriously dated at this point...let's not fool ourselves folks.

This is why I modded the heck out of mine. So I am satisfied enought to hold off on a C6Z and instead wait for C7Z's to come way down in price.

<edit>I can't help but stare at this picture, the Z is damn hot in full trim. While I still don't care for the tail lights, I'll never see them from the drivers seat.

I love all of the differences in opinions!

Even as a kid, the early chrome bumper C3's were my dream car. If you are just considering the looks, IMO, the early C3's are the best looking car ever. One day in my life, I will own a 69-72 red C3 convertible.

The C1's and C2's are classic beauties.

I obviously like the C5!

I think, personally, I like C5's more than early C6's. But I really like the later C6, especially the Grand Sport.

And then I love the way the C7 looks.

I was never really a fan of C4's just in pictures. Then, I was able to see my friend's (forum member jssc606's) C4 ZR1 up close in person. And it totally changed my opinions on C4's.

That is one beautiful red C4. Since then, I have paid more attention to C4's, and I have grown to really like those as well!

So basically- I think all Corvettes are awesome. I would gladly take any one if the opportunity (or the money) was available.

it's funny, U of IA (Iowa City) had their Homecoming Parade this past friday, and i honestly thought all the corvettes looked cool in it. there was only ONE C4 in the parade, there were TWO C3s (one late model, one w/ a flat back window), there were a number of C5s, also a couple of C6s (although i should note i'm not good at distinguishing the C5s/C6s as much), and only ONE C7 (which i thought looked way cool!). so it was interesting to see 30+ years of corvettes on display driving by slowly...

Hi everyone, new forum member here.

I like the C7, but every time I see one I get excited and think "Maranello"? followed by a slight mental sigh. Very slight because it's still exciting to see a C7. To be brutally honest not sure I like any one more than the other as far as C5,C6, or C7. They're all very beautiful.

The Jag E-type and C2 Corvette look dated too, but they're gorgeous cars. Dated ≠ ugly. Fashionable ≠ beautiful.

I like the looks of the C7, but it's not my favorite by a long shot. And but for the fabulous introductory C1, the C5's gorgeous lines take the cake in my book. Obviously the C7 is a great advance with its superior technology, but for looks? Great but not the best.

What do you folks think?
Subjective yes, and probably age-related. As a baby boomer I have always loved the C1's and C2's of my youth, for which I could only long wistfully. As I aged I bought several new vettes, a 74 and '85 which I now think were almost butt ugly. I now have a classic '62 and I can sit in the garage with a beer and just look at it for hours. T

Some of the nicest styling ever was from 58 to 60. Gotta love that chrome and sweeping lines. The later C6s have great lines as well. Eye of the beholder!

The C5 was Corvette's first step into the exotic styling of automobiles. It was also the first Vette to not ride like a brick and you can drive for hours and not feel like a bean in a can. And that is why I finally wanted to buy one. I have always loved the styling of the Corvette but the C5 was WOW! Gotta have one. I keep the car clean and sparkling and I had it parked by a C6 and a kid came up and said "Is that the new Vette it looks awesome.". You have to love kids. But I must say the new Z06 looks pretty sweet. My .02

As a C6 owner and after participating on this thread, I started to pay closer attention to the C5. Long story short, C5>C6. Specifically on red or black the front of the C5 looks more exotic probably due to the smoothness of the headlights (when stowed). I still like the C6 rear better, but I see why people like the C5 exterior over the six.

Man, I can relate to you! I had several c-1's and still think about my "57" Vette, red with white coves, 327,2-4's,4.11's,slicks etc..
I too sit in the garage and just look at my and the wife's "55" Chevy 210 2door sedan. Yeh, I know it's not a Corvette but it is one "badazz" looking car!

C1, C2, C5, C7, C3, C6, C4 would be my order. To drive on a weekend basis it has to be a C5.

Ummm....no. I own a C5 but the look of the C2, especially split window coupe wins on the looks front for me.

This is the C5 forum. All of us think the C5 is the most beautiful Vette ever made. What would you ever expect?

To each his own that's why we are all different.

First I would not kick any down, But the wide body of the C4 ZR-1 did wonders for the C4
