Most beautiful Corvette made

i know the C4 in the corvette universe seems to get dogged most, but to think that he built a modified C4 that went 254mph!!! back in the late 80s is pretty impressive. and the fact that he stated that he drove it from his home in Connecticut to Ohio, set the record, then drove the car home again. that is impressive!

Yesterday we asked you what you think is the best-looking Corvette generation. I voted for the C3. All the drama happening with those fenders really brings it home for me. When I created that poll, I debated whether I should segment the longer-lasting generations, namely the C3 and C4; after all, some pretty significant transformations happened between '68 to '82 and '84 to '96 ... but then I figured, a generation is a generation, and those longer-in-the-tooth gens would have to grin and bear the weight of their respective awkward years.

As long as GM has used the Corvette team as a test bed, the car has gotten better and better. The C7Z being inches away from a C7R makes it the best one yet.
<edit> While I may never afford one, I look forward to the mid engine Corvette putting an American built supercar on the map for real.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I like the looks of the C7, but it's not my favorite by a long shot. And but for the fabulous introductory C1, the C5's gorgeous lines take the cake in my book. Obviously the C7 is a great advance with its superior technology, but for looks? Great but not the best.
What do you folks think?
But that, in no way, makes me think less of my C5. I have exactly the Corvette, I want.
I would say, that fully 1/3 of those in the C7 section, don't even know that the '7' means seventh generation of Corvette, and they don't know anything about the other six gens.
1/3 of them, totally dismiss the first six generations of Corvette, and consider them irrelevant.
And the final 1/3, are true Corvette lovers, appreciate the contributions of all the generations in the evolution of Americas Sports Car, and where they may love their car most of all, they do not denigrate those cars which 'set the table' for C7, or the owners of previous generation cars as 'wannabe' c7 owners.

+1I just don't care enough to lose what I got to get one. Now if I was Vetteless it might be a different story, especially since they'll be priced right in the next couple of years in the used car market. Like other Corvettes after a couple of years or 3 you'll be able to pick up lightly used low mileage ones for a hefty discount.
