Since I had the speakers replaced in my corvette, the corner of the passenger door keeps coming loose and the speakers sound distorted when the bass hits. I need to replace the door clips holding the door panel on. How many clips are there in the door? Where is the best place to purchase these?
Go down to your dealer and pick up a bag of 10; they're cheap. That will be enough for the door and will leave you a few spares, which you'll need eventually.

Also, make sure they didn't crack the boss in the back of the door panel when they took it off the first time. It can be done...ask me how I know.
Good news is it is an easy fix with epoxy or gorilla glue if they didn't break it too badly.
Be sure you have the special tool for these fasteners - it will reduce the likelihood of breaking something.
Give Dennis at Double D a call. Tell him what your audio goals are and he'll set you up right, and at a decent price to boot.

Went down this path with Dennis and he will definitely steer you right. He knows what he is talking about and is willing to listen to your needs and share his expertise!
I am very picky with regards to audio. I got rid of the bose system a long time ago. I used the Diamond Audio silk tweeter with their 5 1/4" speakers AND 8" kicker speakers for mid base in the doors, diamond audio coax inthe rear for fill (I have a convertible) and a JL audio stealth box in the rear for bass. Sounds VERY clean (aside from the door panel now). I have a kenwood receiver along with an Eclipse Amp (85 wpc) for the diamond's, Orion Amp (150wpc) for the kickers and an MTX (350 wpc) for the jl sub. Good luck with your project.
Thank you for all the replies. I will visit my local dealer.
