I would like to give you a hard time about a Dodge, but my wife's daily driver is a Charger R/T and we like it. It has been reliable too. We have put on about 75k miles and almost no issues ( a couple small things, an o ring seal on the trans, and a cotter pin on the shifter. Both fixed for under $20).
Nice Challenger! Best looking "muscle" car out of the 3. With the Mustang a close 2nd.
I've got to disagree with you, Mustang is a pony car. Thanks for planting this in my head, I've been going back and forth on a family car I won't hate. Forgot all about the Dodges.
Never owned a Dodge (other than 3 Grand Caravans in a row ). But the new Challengers are very nice. Re styling I like it over the Camaro by a hair, the Mustang another hair back. All nice cars, but I'd keep my Z06 over them without a doubt, even if I had the loot for a new car. My wife would take the Challenger, loves them. Enjoy, sharp car!
Never been a dodge fan at all that said though I think dodge did a better job on the challenger than GM did on the Camaro plus you see far less Challengers on the road than Camaros so unless it was one of the $77k sticker price ZL1's that my local dealer has on his show room that i just can not fathom the logic in a $77k Camaro I'm taking the chrysler too as for sin eh…. its about the same as premarital sex we know we're not supposed to but its just too tempting to pass up. Now if you popped up a picture of a Mustang thats whole different kinda sin brother LOL

I wanted to know what other corvette owners thought about a dodge challenger.
To quote an episode of "Married with children". Episode Route 666
Old Zeke to Al Bundy,
"Dodge is a damn fine car. Ran over my wife with a Dodge."
Congrats. I really like the Challengers and I agree, if you need a muscle car to double as a family car, it is the ticket.
The only thing I wish is that Chevy would come out with a retro looking Chevelle SS instead of that ugly thing they call an SS. If they do, one will be sitting next to my Z06.
My wife refused to sit in the Mustang because it was a Ford.
I had a real clean F150 for a week or two. Traded for it. Was going to keep it as my daily, but I had to sell it cause I got sick and tired of people making fun of me driving a Ford. Wife was the ring leader.
I've owned them all from the Big Three and a few imports, most of which I bought new. The worst service I ever had was from a Lincoln, which stayed in the shop for something almost monthly. Next was an Explorer. I really liked it, but whenever it broke it was expensive after the warranty expired and took days to get fixed. Most Chevys (99% pickups and El Camino's) were pretty good but just seemed to lack a little something that I needed. I had a '68 Charger R/T, a 2009 Charger R/T, a 2009 Challenger R/T, and two RAM Laramie loaded crew cab trucks. I loved them all and I'm driving one of the trucks now. I won't even mention the junky Nissan and Toyata vehicles I owned. Constant headaches. I had fours Jeeps over the years. Loved my Jeeps!
All that said, I'd rather drive my 2002 Z06 any day of the week over any of them.
After this post I was inspired to go drive one. 6 speed manual R/T stock to the tires. Anyone who thinks it's a sub-par vehicle is either an idiot or just plain stubborn and refuses to accept it. Yes, it handles like crap, yes it's heavy and not lightning quick like the vette, but it rides great. It was worlds more fun to drive than the 2010 camaro, which to me feels generic, and like it doesn't know what it's purpose is. I agree with the OP, even the R/T FELT faster than the SS.
And to the Hellcat comments; I'm sorry, but to pay $60,000 - $70,000 for a 4500lb Hellcat (tank) over a $55,000 C7 (and install a blower) That's just crazy talk.
