And to the Hellcat comments; I'm sorry, but to pay $60,000 - $70,000 for a 4500lb Hellcat (tank) over a $55,000 C7 (and install a blower) That's just crazy talk.
Once you buy the C7 you mention and add all the stuff to it to accommodate a proper blower setup will have the price of a Hellcat in it. It's all in what a person wants or needs. 707HP with a warranty is inviting if you have the admission price. It's not for everyone, including me. I'll just keep driving my old 2002 Z06. Considering it has great road manners, lots of grunt, and got 29.1 MPG on a cruise this past weekend I can't complain.

Agreed. And you get a backseat you can actually use for humans. The Hellcat is a bargain for what it is, might even consider one after a year or 2 being out, I'm guessing customers will find the "weak" links pretty fast.

I was told if you use the 2nd key (full power) you have to ok a disclaimer in the nav screen an it voids the warranty if its used
If I were choosing between the two I would go with the dodge too. New camaros aren't about handling...
This is not true. The Camaro is an excellent handling car, you just have to order the 1LE package on your SS. I test drove one last year shortly after they came out and it will hands down out-hustle a non-Z06 C5. It is quite an impressive car!
I'm another old Mopar guy, had more of them than my 8 Corvettes. In spite of Fiat taking over thier trucks still outperform anything from Goverment Motors

Have you installed a blower??
For clarification, you can buy a complete kit for around $6800, and run 8-9lbs of boost with an extra 175hp ALL DAY LONG with nothing extra. Now when you get into the big boost range, that's when you add meth, fuel systems, etc.
I personally don't care if everyone buys one, that will leave me with my choice of Vettes to buy
I just get sick of the over-hype it gets. I can tell you now, that much HP in a 4500lb vehicle is going to be a handful. (and Im sure everyone is buying them so they can stick their kids in the back seat. )

BUT, do you have an ENTIRE car DESIGNED for that power? Adding all the juice in front you really need added transmission and suspension/brakes to deal with it all. Again the Hellcat is a DEAL!
I much prefer the looks of the Camaro. Loved mine and kept it about 3 1/2 yrs. I had the v6 6spd, though, as I wasn't looking to race, just to run around town in it.
Being 1000+ lbs lighter my 550 rwhp A&A M6 C5 is probably faster than the 707 hp Hellcat
One thing about the Challengers, Camaros and Mustangs is having higher off the ground seats and cabins, they're easier to get in and out of for us 50+ guys than the Vette!

Do you not think the C7 can handle the power????
I have a C5 (2 generations older)that went from 350hp to 900+hp and it handles it just fine. (Now of course the C7 stock trans etc, wont handle THAT much, but 600-700 is no problem at all, with no need for Brakes (excellent on C7) or suspension upgrades.
And as far as a deal........ Only if you want one, and I am one guy that doesn't
