Default How to exercise the ABS pump?

So I'm getting the 1243 code for a stalled abs pump. I want to hardwire it to the battery to excerise it. Does anyone have photos of how to do this?

I believe you can use a tech 2 to do this. Can't say I would recommend hooking it up directly to a battery.

Yeah dealer wants $125 to do it. I know people have done it. I just want to make sure I put the wires in the right places

Jack up the rear end, start it and get it up to 10 mph.

If not, try a flat, grassy area....

I got the same code along with ABS and TC warning lights on mine. Jacked the rear up, started the car and pulled it into 2nd gear (automatic). Let it idle up to about 8-10 mph. The pump came on, the lights went out and never came on again. Worked for me. Hope this helps.

Using a Tech2 is the best way. But this is the way I did it prior to getting my Tech2:

Drive to work the morning after a soaking rainstorm in 18 degree weather.

That'll exercise the pump.

If you can get the driver's door open that is....

But there are alot of members who do not drive in the rain. That is the main issue. I'll admit, I'm one of them. Not because I don't want to. I don't need to because my C5 is just a weekend toy, like many on this forum.

Does any one have a step by step installation to do this on a tech 2?
