Transmission

I had installed a rebuilt transmission for my c-5 z-06. From a dead stop when you put it in 1st gear it will occassionally pop out of gear. Is this a linkage issue or other problem?

I think it's normal, mine does it too if I don't put it into both 1st and Reverse with more authority than the other gears.

Put in first with authority.

That's not normal. It could be your shifter. You need to adjust the shifter by moving it a little so it goes into 1st a little more and that should keep it in gear.
