Default ? Borla S-Type II

I have a question for the Forum members and friends. I am getting ready to purchase a new cat-back exhaust for my 2002 Vet and was wondering if anyone has listened to the Borla S-Type II or is running a set on their car. I'm looking to achieve a sound that is somewhat aggressive with no droning while cruising. I listened to this set on the computer and they sound great, but doesn't mean they sound good out here in the real world. Any input or suggestion is needed. Thanks...RJS

I'm running this setup and I couldn't be happier. I started out with just headers and the cat back and was very happy. I've since upgraded to cam and new heads and much more and still love it. It's a nice deep muscle sound but quiet at idle. I don't hear much if any drone unless you stay in 3 at high rpm. My last car had terrible drone so I was getting away from that.

I get compliment all the time and ask me what it is.. Must mean something.

With just the Borla cat back on the car, my wife said it gave her a headache. I am hearing impaired so it didn't bother me. No complaints from her after adding LT headers and X-pipe.

Several forum members swear that the Corsa Sport has no drone, but it is really something that you need to listen to listen to, and not on a computer. Only after listening to different systems up close and hopefully at cruising speed will you be able to make an informed decision.

Some people have very sensitive hearing, some don't. A little bit of drone is music to my ears. It sounds really bad-***! YMMV

Hi RJ, I have 2004 Z06 I have the Borla S-Type II on my car with Kooks Headers and i Heard this exhaust on my car first before headers and i think these are the best. no droning in 5th or 6th gear. I have had the Corsa and GHL bullets which i took off. I have been at alot of Corvette events and have not found many owners with this exhaust on there car. when this exhaust first came out it was pricey but if you check around you can get a good price on it. It was amazing how it sounded after the headers. Love these hope this helps.

Mine is 02 A4 and I have the S-Type II. Had them for a year and loved them. No drone. Added Kook Headers and X pipe about two months ago and love them just as much. Made them deeper. Still no drone when cruising. Best buy in my opinion.
