I bought C6 2005-2007 5-spoke reproduction wheels in 18x9.5x58mm offset and 18x10.5x58mm offset.

They look good on C5s.

265/35-18 and 265/40-17 tires are almost exactly the same height.

The C6 Z06 reproductions in 18x9.5 and 19x11 with C5 offsets of 57mm and 65mm are a good choice, too. 275/35-18 and 305/30-19 tires sizes fit in the wheel wells and keep wheel heights that are close to stock.
If you decide to go the C5 Z06 rim route.....
Get a set of 4 stock C5 Z06 rear 18" rims and mount 265/35-18 (or 275/35-18) tires on the front and 295/35-18 tires on the rear.
Going to 18" up front (as opposed to 17" up front), opens up more tire choices and maintains the front to rear stagger.

Just my opinion, but those 18's in the front just don't look right. They actually look bigger than the rears.

Back to the OP's question will OEM C6 Z06 wheels fit a C5? If so what tires will be needed to keep the tire height within sensor range?

Due to the flairs the wheels in the rear have a lip and the wheels in the front don't - so if you look at the center section of the rears only, yes it's a little bit smaller then the fly wheel diameter on the front.. They are the same size, different angles tell different stories when it's pictures.

Thanks for all the input and suggestions. I just purchased a set of CCW 505a's in an 18/19 combination from Marc@vettenuts.net. He put together a deal I couldn't pass up and one I could afford. I'll be getting them this week. I can't wait. Marc is such a gentleman and is willing to work with you on everything. He really cares about his customers. This is my 3rd purchase from him. The service is second to none... If you need a part try marc@vettenuts.net and you will experience what I have!
