Default Ghl bullets

Just sent paypal to a fellow member for a set of GHL Bullets. Putting them on an 04 Z06.
Only able to listen to sound clips and did not sound that bad. Wanted a new set but kept seeing they are discontinued. Why discontinued? Were they replaced with something different?
Any opinions?? are they really that loud on a stock car? I notice a lot of guys on parts forum looking for a set?

Thanks for any input

Allow me to intepret based on what little I know. They *were* a great exhaust up to a certain production time. Affordable, great deep sound, but not overly loud, great fit and finish, cool tips, and seemed to be a highly sought after unit. At some point the quality went downhill...I do recall something about a squabble over the molds between owners or something along those lines. Regardless of the how, afterwards there were reported cases of poor tip alignment and fitment issues. I was fortunate enough to pick up a set used here on the forum in great condition about 1-1/2 years ago produced BEFORE the problems started. I wasn't even aware of the issues when I bought them. One of my favorite mods and not something I intend to ever sell.

I think you will be pleased with the sound output, I just hope you got enough pictures from the previous owner to ensure they were fitting on the car well.

The GHL Bullets are not that loud on a stock car. I've gotten multiple compliments on mine.

Thank You all.
Seller is a super nice guy when we spoke. Said they had 18000 miles on them and to be honest sounded trustworthy so I never asked for pictures although in all honesty he did say he would provide pictures without me asking. I got cold feet and backed out figuring I would spend the agreed price of $600 towards a new set of something else since they are now discontinued. Now to figure out what.

I was one of the guys that had issues with my GHL and no support from where I bought them. Did not line up so I put them up for sale and sold them. The guy that bought them it did not bother him because of the fitment. I do not miss them because I went with the new Borla Type S exhaust and headers and it sounds better than the GHL's. No Droning on this exhaust at all. Check this exhaust out if your looking for one.

When I got my GHL's I had an issue with one side not aligning. I was fortunate and was able to get it replaced quickly and at no cost from GHL. this was 2013. I may just be one of the luckier ones back then .........
I love the sound they make, no drone. My engine is stock.

I have a set on my 04 coupe and man, they are the best sounding exhaust on the market.
Smooth when rolling by the cops and a perfect roar when you crack that throttle open.
mine are 10 years old and I was wondering if they ever need replacing.
-
But their website seems to be 15 years old and out of touch, for such a great product.
I've tried to email and never heard back.
-
I got to listen to that perfect pitch today on the way home and got a thumbs up from a guy in a turbo Audi who got to follow me for a mile before turning off onto PCH.!
