Your opinion, question...
Would it be worth it to swap my 2000 white FRC for a 2001 Silver Z06 ?
The swap car for car. No car info on either car.... just asking would it worth doing it if
YOU had the opportunity to do so.

I wouldn't swap any car with no info on either car.

Can't answer really, too many variable to just give a blanket answer, but ... If it is a 150K beat on FRC for a mint low mile Z06, then absolutely. If it is a very nice FRC with low miles for a track rat Z, then not so much.

Ahhhhh. See, a little bit of background goes a long way. Tough decision, while the performance is better in the Z, a nice FRC is a bit harder to find. I think I would lean towards the performance of the Z.

You don't know that for sure. You know the history, maintenance records, and prior issues of your car, you do NOT know the history or prior issues of the other car. Don't get your panties in a bunch when you ask a question, and we reply with our opinions.
Having said that, is the 01 ZO6 a better car than an 00 FRC? Of course. Would I swap a car I know has been well maintained and know the history of, at least while I have owned it? No.

Then do it. What is stopping you? It's pretty obvious an '01 ZO6 is better than an '00 FRC Vette.

everything else being equal I would do it for the fact that things like the ebcm are more easily repaired in the 01+ cars

I'd go for it, why not. It will feel like your driving a "new" to you car again. Change is good, resistance is futile.

What is the point of this thread?
Two cars in identical condition
Trade an older lower trim model straight up for a newer upper trim model?
If those are the facts, only an idiot wouldn't do it.

This is one of the things I was looking at. The ebcm in my FRC gave out about 3 years ago....
