Thank you gentlemen for all your input...........

I think I'll keep my FRC. She's a little more rare in color and I can just build a nice little stroker motor for her.

Sinister-one, the one aspect of owning a FRC/Z51 is the fact of it being unique in it's own right and the history associated with it which led to the 'Z/06'. Like the old saying, 'I don't need no stinking badges', lol. I myself would love to trade up to a 'Z', but it would need to be a 04' model and moving up just to get a 01' 'Z'. I don't see the big advantage myself. With the few little tweeks I did with my FRC, I am making the same or little more than the 385 hp that was in the 01', jus say'n. Some like no BSM's, I like no badges !! I'm still fond of my old girl/FRC !!

After taking a good long hard look.... She's something a little different and a real head turner when she all cleaned and polished up.

Absolutely not! If you were trading for an 03 or 04, I'd say yes. The 01
z06 is not that special or great a step up with various problems and less hp than newer Z's. A white FRC is a very unique car and there are people who would pay extra for a white coupe. So No, I'd just mod what you have. On CCW's site there is a white coupe with Classics that is a stunning car. Though I have a torch Z, white C5 always turn my head.
