Well said. If I wanted to redesign the C5 rear bumper, the C7 would be the last thing I would use as a starting point.

People have been doing clear lenses on many cars for years. It's nothing really new.
Everybody always wants their car different than the way it came from the factory. LOL
If our cars came with a "clear" tail, we'd want red.
If our cars came with "euro" tails, we want a "solid" color.
I know-I'm guilty of it. LOL My brother pointed this out to me once:
My center console lid was black (stock). I changed it to red.
My tail lights were red. I changed them to black.
I had a black (transparent) roof, I bought a red one.
We are all a bunch of nuts.
Back on topic. The clear lights, to me, don't look right on a C5.

I look at it this way...If you want a C7 bumper, mount it on the wall or ACTUALLY buy the car without ruining a perfectly good looking C5. Just my .02

... the plus side is the owner probably wasted so much money doing this "mod" and neglected the go fast parts so anyone who races said car will not have to look at the hideous taillights

Clear rear lamp lens for C5 1998
Made himself...doubt it.
Bought on Ebay...Likely. Search C5 Corvette Clear Taillight and you'll find some results. Just found 2 myself.
Advice...not legal unless you have some other red showing rearward and can be seen without lights on from 'x' feet away. I don't recall the designated footage by law and it may vary by state, but it was an issue back in my Import days. Your call though.

I need two clear lenses for a 1998 Coupe.
I am going to use yellow bulbs to have yellow signal light (EU-rules!)
I cannot find them on eBay - or anywhere else for that matter. Any ideas?
