Windows won't stay up when locking with remote valet
I have the remote valet thingy, which allows you to roll the windows up/down with three presses of the key FOB.
When I go to lock the doors and roll up the windows, they roll up, honk horn, roll back down.
I've read that cycling the windows full down/up a couple times should remedy the issue.
I have tried that, and it might work for that day, but then it seems like the next time I take the Vette out again, it happens again.
Any advice?
It is a '02 convertible, if that makes a difference.

Read the instructions. Have the PIN number ready and re calibrate the strength with which the window closes. Instructions are available in pdf on line from Top Down Tech.

Geesh. With the responses you're getting, you might want to sell the car. It is getting old and has a complex computer system could fail at any moment ya know. lol
I have a similar problem with my Z but only in the really cold winter months when the seals are stiff. I cycle my windows once-in-awhile to keep the motors functioning. If it is really cold, I have to open the doors.
According to the Top Down Tech website, do the following: (Had to leave the computer for a moment and zagger beat me to it.)
Configuration Menu Structure:
To enter Configuration Menu Mode: Hold the DIC 'reset' while pressing the door panel
'unlock.' Do not do this while driving or while the key is ON. Press 'reset' to exit and
abort any incomplete changes.
2 - Display high speed
1 - clear high speed from memory
*2 - select US-style speedometer, 0-200 MPH
3 - select export-style speedometer, 0-300 km/h
3 - Activate accessory power
4 - Enter configuration menu
1 - configure windows
*1 - disable
2 - enable and calibrate windows [requires PIN]
3 - window up safety trigger, normal [requires PIN]
4 - window up safety trigger, less sensitive [requires PIN]
You might also just try unplugging it and plugging it back in to see what it does.
I'm sure there are window adjustments that can be made as well. I'm not sure how to do those at the moment.

Are the windows binding on the weather strip when going up? Mine did after adjusting my convertible top and I experienced the same issues. A bit of adjustment to the window tracks and it functions as it should again. I have a feeling that the module has a built in resistance safety lockout, so if the window binds before it goes all the way up, the safety kicks in and lowers them and alerts the user by honking the horn.

No, some of us that don't have any window problems just made a recommendation to get rid of the window valet and keep the car.

I've had the Top Down Valet for years. Occasionally have the issue with windows coming back down. Usually happens when just one window is down and I just roll them up again and everything is fine. Also I set the roll up strength to maximum.

I've never encountered such ignorance on this board. Geeesh.
Follow the instructions on resetting and all will be fine.
It may still do it on occasion, but just hit it three more times and it'll work. Mine does it about twice a year. (I've got one in each car.)
