Does anybody know an easy way to check hvac codes. I replaced the right actuator and am still getting codes B0367 and B0446. I've been going through the grounds cleaning them and only the the ones on the bottom of the engine and the frames. I don't have a clue where to look for the feedback open and to find out how come it says out of range. It didn't pop that code on the old actuator. Also on the abs/traction lights I got them to turn off and then they come on after about a mile or 2. Thay were staying on permanently. As usual any help would be appreciated. I didn't have all these problems with my first vette because it didn't have all the electronics. 78 Silver Anniversary. I wanted a C5 98 this time and am just learning what all it entails. Thanks again.
My experience with these we're related to the charge , which was usually low. How is the AC behaving? As far as the ABS, get your codes first, post them and you will get lots of help.
I am not that up on the HVAC and the FSM is confusing in terminology between the diagnostics and the schematics. Your 2 code issues have nothing to do with the freon charge.
If you didn't have out of range before you did the replacement it was surely something you did.
What guidance did you use to do the replacement? The FSM or some link?
Let's see if this Re-Cal can help:
Use the following steps to perform the calibration update:
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the battery positive voltage circuit fuse of the HVAC Control Module (fuse #27).
Important
The module memory will not clear if the battery positive voltage circuit fuse is installed in less than 60 seconds.
3. Wait 60 seconds.
4. Install the fuse.
Meantime I will look to see if I have any links that might help.
BTW:
The actuator is grounded via the control head unit in the dash.
Also, diagnostics will require a Tech 2 except for chasing wiring continuity issues.
If you want help on ABS it is not going to happen under an HVAC titled Thread. Start a new Thread.
Another PS: Was the replacement actuator new or used?
