I haven't done a good job of keeping up from my last post, so I'm not going to attempt to state that I will going forward. I'm nervous about it because I can actually see it happening soon. Notice I didn't say this year.
and yes, I finally registered officially with GM. I'll post later my somewhat bad/good news once I find the shop diagnose sheet.
the bad news/good news side. The car developed a misfire, you'll see the diagnosis of what's happening. The great/good news is other than the check engine light coming on and the car sounding liked it has a MID/MILD cam, highway power hasn't really been a problem. Recently noticing more of a miss at highway cruising speed. Before, just more at idle.
Is this for real? If so, how about some details. How many sets of tires? Any major problems? What kind of oil and how often and how many times did you change it? How many times did you have it tuned up and other fluids changed? How many sets of brake pads? How many times have the seats been replaced? etc.
How many miles a year do you drive and why? The invoice is from February. What has happened since?
Hopefully that's not "it" for that motor. Hopefully it's just a head gasket or a more simple fix that's valvetrain related and you can continue on. Very very very impressive!

From his previous posts in past years this car has been tracked, transmission replaced or repaired a few times, new engine once or twice and Supercharged. I would love to see the Carfax.
Unless the owner weighs 90 pounds the seat foam must have been replaced 10 times.
I can't say if that was me or not, I don't recall the vanishing trick. I didn't answer any question if it was answered by another member directing where I've answered or had a discussion about.
However, far as coming back on a regular, can't deny that. Around the joining of the forum I was running between 2 homes(1 in NC, the in Va), running a business, and trying to start a new one. With all that, the housing market and stock market crashing. As for how many brake pads, oil changes, etc..... couldn't imagine what that number would be, nor time to keep track. Since I never had any intention of selling it, records kind of went out the window far keeping once you're as upside down in value. Got the car around November '99 and remember checking with about 2 Chevy dealers while I was still under warranty by the end of next year because I was about to drive out of the 100,000 mile warranty.

Did you ever race the car? Did you put a Supercharger on it?
One of your previous posts:
Mileage checkin people. My car and I have made it to 400,000 miles. Around the end of last year, had to rebuild my tranny because of the sprag spring. It's been solid and us course, being my 3rd Vette, loving it even better than the 1st.
Next mission later this year is replacing all my springs(shock & leaf), boots, links, and even thou there's nothing wrong with the engine, a nice fresh engine naturally putting out at least 500hp to put a supercharger. I might consider the turbo, but feel the supercharger is more friendly.
Nope, that mission for the new engine and supercharger got pushed back due to not realizing this engine and model wasn't showing any previous records of going this far. Once the engine can't do what's reasonable, then I will. Did do the shocks, boots, links, rear sway bar, rack(slight leak), front seal(shot), and hubs all the way around since I was already replacing RR.
