Default Mgw question

Hey guys,
Dumb question, Looking at possibly ordering an mgw. I know the oem pivot cup on the bottom of the shifter is not re used during the install and that mgw offers a replacement. Is the mgw replacement pivot ball plastic or aluminum?
Also has any one ordered one recently? Just wondering on availability. Probably putting the vette away nov 1st and will hold off on ordering if there is currently a long waiting list.

Installed mine about 2 months ago. Took about 2 weeks before it shipped. The pivot ball was covered with grease so I did not notice if it was aluminum or something else. The entire shifter definitely looks like a truly engineered product and the install was a piece of cake. The only thing I had to do was get a shorter boot from Vette Essentials, which took a little longer and I waited for the boot prior to installing. Its been a great mod.

There is no pivot cup like the OEM, the pivot ball on the MGW is over sized and eliminates it, I believe its made from hi temp poly....check out the install video on you tube, you will see it drops right into the lower linkage. I love mine btw...
