If it happens again, hold down the lock and unlock buttons for several seconds till the horn honks. What you did was relearn the fobs, which is fine. But when you disconnect the battery, and sometimes when you remove the battery from the fob the rolling code gets out of sync. If you stand near the car and hold down the two buttons on the fob, the code is RESYNC'D. This will only work if the fob has previously been learned by the car, so just any fob wont sync to just any car.
