Default DRM duct and tire size ??

I have 04 Z06. It is street and a DE car. If I install the DRM ducts can I run 265/40-17 for the street and 295/35-18 or 315/35-18 square for track days without any rub problems? It has been lowered some on stock bolts.
Thanks,,

I run 315/30/18s square with DRMs and there is a slight rubbing at full lock in the pits. Other than that they work fine on my lowered car.

The 295s shouldn't be a problem (assuming you're running stock offset 18" rims). I guy I run with uses 315 Hoosiers and he rubs but hasn't rubbed through. Last year I used 305x660x18 Pirelli's and have some rub (they were rubbing the front of fender well as well) but haven't worn through the ducts. I use stock 18" Z06 rims all the way around. I'd estimate the 305x660 to be about the same as a 305x45, a pretty tall tire.

Most ducts will hit at full lock.....but if you are full lock on the track. I wouldn't care much about the brake duct hose at that point.

Most of our customers run the DRM inner pieces with our spindle plates and run a 295 or 305 up front. Like the others have said, it does hit at full lock. I will say make sure when you put the hose on, try and make sure that it does its natural curve inwards...that will help some.

I have 295 Nittos and they rub if you turn the wheel to far. I find I rarely need to turn the wheel past a complete 360 turn. Somewhere past that, my tires will hit the duct. Honestly, most of my concern is when a shop is driving my car to do a track inspection or alignment...

I ran 285/305 setup with DRM ducts and they would hit before full lock at the track. The only time it would rub was when I was driving around the pits and I forgot that you couldn't turn the wheel all the way or unloading etc and parking and turning too much.

Never close while actually driving on track.
