I received my radio today from DD Mods and it came with Sirius radio adapter. I normally use a usb with about 650 songs and never listen the normal radio. Now with the Android app everything on my phone will be available. Should I even install it ????? What is your take on the Sirius ????? (3 months free)
Jeep came with it in 11', when the free ran out I never renewed it, same songs over and over again. Just got a note in the mail trying to woo me back with a $20/5 months, went straight in the trash. I hold them with the same esteem as Charter Communications, complete waste of my hard earned cash. Mike
I've had SiriusXM on all my vehicles for over 10 years. It's great to have in our boat where you usually cannot pick up any local stations, have it at home so we can listen to it out on the deck by the pool and stream it in my office. Got me a new system from Crutchfield and installed it in my vert, put the antenna on the back in between the trunk lid and the tonneau cover. To me it's worth the money.

I have xm in my daily and use it because it's free and much better than the normal radio stations but if I had to pay for it I wouldn't use it, I would just use my ipod... I can't even remember that last time I had the radio on in the vette lol
We have it in our Tahoe because my wife likes it. I don't have it in my DD for myself, though.
I usually let the subscription get really close to the end...or even expire. Then I call them and work a deal. I usually get it for around $100 a year. Sounds pricey but, again, the wife likes it. As long as she's happy, well...you know the old saying...
I'm of the opinion that Pandora is just as good if not better. Sure, there are ads every now and then but not enough to be super annoying. And it's free.

I didn't mention that with the Android app I could can use Pandora with the phone !!!!
I have it in two cars and a portable that I use on my HD Roadglide in the summer. I really like it and don't mind paying for it.....
Going to put a vehicle mount in the vette so I can listen when I drive.

That functionality is pretty nice. My Tahoe is a 2015 with the nav radio. It has a Pandora function built in...like I said, it's getting to where I'd rather use that than the Sirius.
Let us know how the install goes. I'm starting to toy around with the idea of doing something similar. I'd like to get a unit that is just a screen though...no need for a CD or DVD for me. Something with Apple Car Play. That would take care of the nav issue.
Heck...it's kind of funny. I remember when the 12 CD changer was just about as cool as you could get. Now it just adds extra weight to the rear of my coupe...

Just renewed my subscription to Sirius XM on my DD. They sent me a renewal e-mail with a price of $290 for one year (XM Select, Travel Link and Weather). I called them up and said I'm not going to pay that much to listen to the radio and asked if they could do better. Otherwise I was going to cancel. The guy was polite and when he gave me a new price, it was $130 for the year plus got credit for the remaining time left on my current subscription. Bottom line is it cost me $114 for the year. I can live with that.
If you go with them, remember that it is all negotiable it seems.
When my xm 3 month ran out I was going to cancel. They wanted $216 for a one year sub. I said no and I ended up paying $99 for the year. When that runs out I am not renewing. Maybe if you were a sports fanatic or a news junky it might be worth it. Just for music to many free options.
Sounds like most of you are on the same page as me. As I mentioned I have all my music on a usb (now with Android app, I will put them on my phone) I like all kinds of music (cept rap) (sorry) and if I don't feel like a song I just skip to the next !!!

Yeah...I'm pretty predictable. I've had the same 200+ songs on my iPhone forever. They never get old!
