97 fuel filter issues ..

97 fuel filter issues ..
Had a plastic fuel filter with bracket with a small leak on the front fitting,
Replaced it with indentical plastic fuel filter with bracket with new plastic push ends (microguard brand)
About 10 miles later the rear connection came totally apart
Pushed it back on, triple checked it, no leaks ... Came apart again same spot
(Had to tow car this time)
Ended up picking up a metal wix filter with no bracket, this one had one new plastic push end on rear and metal push teeth on front, installed it but it came with no bracket so it's just hanging inline, i feel it's fine hanging? Seems like my lowered c5 rides rough sometimes and a bracket bolted to the body caused jarring of the fuel filter ..
And the bracket doesn't provide grounding on these cars
